Only once you reach adulthood do you realize that you should have savored being young. You'd tell your 13 year old self not to rush, but to enjoy the process of growing up. Sure, the teen years are hard, but they definitely have their moments.

This means often trying to fit into someone else's standard of what's "cool." In reality, you now realize no one is going to be liked by everyone. You'd love to tell your 13 year old self that they won't be for everyone, but all that really matters is their friends and family!

Even when they get in a bind, they don't want to ask for help. You wish you could tell your 13 year old self that asking for help isn't weakness or defeat, it's often the bravest thing you can do. When times are hard, reach out and find a helping hand.

In reality, this is a great time to just appreciate being young, hanging with friends, and doing what makes you happy.
