Hippies have non-materialistic values, and a commitment to peace and love. They got their name because they were “hip" or aware of what was going on in the world around them. A person who respects life of all kinds, believes that there is always a better option than to use violence, and is usually pretty straight, and not very uptight. Deeply or mysteriously spiritual and continually experience divinity, peace, and enlightenment. Full Blown Hippie
Sex, drugs and rock and roll are your only commitments. You live completely outside of the mainstream and believe that no one belongs in the mainstream. A strong realization that humans commit acts of violence against other living things and the earth itself. You may think everyone should be able to do what they want as long as it doesn't interfere with others.
